The Blanket Fairy

I have come across this amazing organization called The Blanket Fairy .  Basically it is an organization started to help put a smile on a child's face that is going through the fight for their life. She makes blankets and sends them to children going through chemo to keep warm. When I saw this I knew I wanted to get involved, especially being that I love to sew and make blankets! So I have decided to use my business Flutterbug Boutique help out and make some blankets to donate. If anyone is interested in helping with the cost of fabric for these blanket please, please let me know. For those of you who sew know that fabric is not cheap! Any donation given will go toward the fabric and materials used to make as many blankets as I can to send! Also 20% of all orders of my products will go towards the cost of fabric as well.With your help I know we can donate a bunch of warm cozy blankets for these little ones! Land of Promise

On Saturday a group of us from our church took the kids to The Land of Promise farm for a hayride and pumpkins. They had a blast, and so did we. We have been going there for years but this year was the best by far! We went on a hayride, walked through a corn maze, picked pumpkins, had a camp fire and even got to ride a horse. It was awesome! I would love to share all of the pics but I took over 100 and that is a lot to share lol. The weather was perfect fall weather and the place was so beautiful, it was nice to let the kids run and play all day without worrying so much about them getting hurt. For those who know me know that I used to have a piggy obsession and they had the cutest little piggies ever!  I was so ready to snatch one up and put it in my car along with their adorable little puppy that pee'd evey 5 steps lol. Over all it was an amazing day with great friends . I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life!

Caramel Apples

I LOVE caramel apples and I thought it would be super fun to make some with the kids. It turned out fantastic other then the fact they are having a hard time eating them LOL

October Love

October is my favorite month! I love everything about it!!

My reasons for October love:

*The leaves change to beautiful colors*

* Ravens Football (and for those of you who know me personally, know that this is a new like!)*

*Hot Coffee on a cold day*

*Hay rides & pumpkin farms*

* Sweatshirts & Jeans*

* The crisp clean air*

* Cuddling up in a blanket watching the Fall line up on TV or reading a book*

Fall is amazing and beautiful and serene. It is also the beginning of winter, the start of the holidays. I love this season and I can't believe we are already half way through October !

Slow down October and take your time, I'm not ready for winter just yet!
