Wedding Festivities

This weekend my best friend got married!! I was so honored to be her Matron of Honor...even though I was more stressed out about her wedding then she was. hahaha. She was absolutely stunning, and the whole wedding was beautiful! Madison and Caden were the flower girl and ring bearer and I can't even express how stinkin cute they were...that's why I have to add a pic.

I was suppose to say a speech at the wedding but between all of the last minute running and craziness, I didn't have a chance to write one so I decided to write one on here for her. Not to mention I'm not good at public speaking, and half of the room was my ex husbands family (she married my ex husbands brother) Although I'm still close to most of them, it may have been a little uncomfortable for some.
This gorgeous pic was taken by Jennifer Lehman Photography  (If you're in the Baltimore/PA area...check her out)

Janelle, we have known each other since we were little. Despite the fact that we didn't like each other for the first 10 years or so hahaha, I'm glad in the end that we became such good friends. I can't imagine not having someone like you in my life, you're like the sister I never wanted! :) You have been there for me through it all, shot gun weddings, children, heartaches, divorce and remarriage. You are the person I go to for advice, consolation, and complaining. Mostly because we think so much a like, although I don't know if that's good or bad. I like that I have a friend who I can be completely honest with without judgement and call when someone is getting on my nerves and I need to vent. lol I look forward to sitting around and complaining about our husbands when we are old ,and starting our wine and baking nights back up when you get back from your honeymoon! I see how much you both have grown as people since you've started dating, and you guys were made for each other. You compliment each other so well, he's passive and you're crazy. LOL I am so happy that you found someone who makes you happy and I wish you both all of the happiness in the world. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day.

Here's some more candid pics from her wedding:

God Bless The Broken Road That Led Me Straight To You

Three years ago today I married my best friend! As you can tell from the heading, Bless the Broken Road was our wedding song. It seemed so fitting since we ended up back together. :) I'm so lucky to be able to spend the rest of my life with such an amazing man, I never in a million years thought I'd be where I am today. Three beautiful kids, a wonderful husband, our own home, and unbelievably happy. I'm so blessed!
Leo and I met when I was 16 at church, and to be honest I didn't really even notice him. haha  He didn't catch my eye until the summer I turned 19 and somehow out of the blue we started hanging out as friends and then it turned into dating for a few short months and we parted ways. After 4 years he just walked back into my life and swept me off my feet, and I still haven't touched the ground yet! Who would have thought? But after a few months I knew he was the one I was going to be with forever and exactly one year from the time we started dating, we were married. And I'm loving every second of it.

Of course our wedding day was no walk in the park (no pun intended....we got married in a park) it rained all morning while we were getting ready, and as you know, an outdoor wedding + rain isn't exactly ideal. But I was determined to have it outside and after many many prayers, and being an hour late, the rain stopped  on our way there and the sun came out for the ceremony and pictures. I wont even get into the caterer issues...let's just say I had an awesome group of people helping me and without them I wouldn't have had a wedding! But in the end it was a perfect day! One of the happiest days of my life and everyday just seems to get better and better.
Here are a few of my favorite pics  of the day *sigh*

Leo, I fall more in love with you everyday. You have blessed me in so many ways and I'm so lucky to be able to spend my life with you! You truly make me whole and I am so grateful for everything you do for us. Happy Anniversary!! I love you Always & Forever!

It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year: Back To School

It's that time of the year again! I can't believe how fast this summer went. I didn't get a chance to post much this summer but I feel like we blinked and it was over. We did get to enjoy a weekend away in Rehoboth Beach, although it rained most of the weekend. But I have mixed emotions about the start of the school year. I'm not looking forward to getting up early and taking the kids everyday, but I love Fall.  So I'm ready for the season to start, the weather to cool, and all of the fun Fall festivities to begin!

This year Miss. Madison is a 2nd grader and Caden started Kindergarten, which is a full day of school! They started with a gradual entrance program where he went a half day with me on Monday, a half day alone on Tuesday, and a full day on Wednesday. He did so well with the adjustment, and other then coming home tired and a little whiny, he loves it. I'm having a bit of a hard time with the fact that Alanna will be starting preschool on Tuesday. She will go 2 days a week and she is so excited. I don't know how I feel about my baby starting school, but she's ready!
